Jigs and Fixtures
We've developed an accurate set of specialized jigs and fixtures to
aid in MGA sheetmetal restorations. Each of these has been built from
heavy-wall tubing and is accurate to 1/32" (most factory tolerances
were about 1/4").
We have several rotisseries that are used to transport bodies
to our sandblaster and painters.
These rotisseries maintain
the shape and strength of the body, allow for easy loading and carraige,
and rotate 360 degree for full access to all parts of the car.

Our most complex fixture is our MGA body jig. It establishes more
than 70 important dimensions of the MGA main body shell.
Using this jig, we can more accurately and quickly repair rust
and collision damage to MGAs.
Bodies are built up from bare minimum to complete with fenders,
doors, bonnet, and boot before being returned to the frame for final
fit-up.
We have other fixtures for chassis and front frame extension repair
that are shown in those pages on the website. |
