This nice 1978 MGB came to Eclectic Motorworks in the fall of 2009. Along with some engine tuning and exhasut work some of the paint was in need of repair. First we stripped back the areas which needed repair to expose any hidden rust. Once we determined there was no metalwork to be done we skim-coated the pitted and low areas to smooth everything out and to guarantee a smooth surface beneath the paint. We primed and sanded everything smooth, then added and sanded our first coat of paint. We still have more paint to apply, more buffing to do and one other area of damage in the left rear fender to repair.
