Miata-powered MGB/GT
More details of modified parts for the conversion.
The driveshaft was built by combining the rear of an MGA 1500
driveshaft (which is longer than an MGB shaft and doesn't have a
slip joint) with the front of a Ford Explorer (!) shaft. Ford Explorers
and Miatas use the same splines at the gearbox.
A 1977-80 style MGB radiator was slightly modified. The upper
water neck elbow was replaced with a straight piece, and a filler
was added to the top tank.

The factory gearbox crossmember was modified to fit the Miata
5 speed gearbox.
