With the freshly-painted floorboards ready to go, we first installed the carpet over the rear half of the tunnel. This is the proper way to do it so that the floorboards actually rest on top of the rear tunnel half.
We installed the transmission covers, transmission carpet, and front carpets to check for fitment.
We also purchased a reproduction passenger footrest (which was missing from this car, and required for proper fitment of the factory-style carpet kit provided).
After the front carpets were set we laid in the rear halves and trimmed to fit. These are held down to the floor by the 4 bolts that anchor the seat rails that attach to the seat bottoms. Once those were in place we measured and trimmed the front carpets flush with the rails.
