We’re continuing assembly by putting more blue parts on the car.
We were able to retain the original steel valence after some metalwork and bodywork. Many MGAs have a fiberglass valence or none at all!
Next, we installed the front splash aprons.
The front splash aprons on the rear fenders are often missing. Early cars didn’t have them, but many get left off due to sloppy metalwork and they don’t fit anymore. We made sure these would fit in the metalwork stage.
There are also splash aprons at the back of the rear fenders. We make sure the lower tab and bolt aren’t heavily stressed as that leads to future cracks.
The car looks more like an MGA as every part goes on.
