The old front parking lamp/turn signals were too rusty and cracked to fix, so we started with new ones.
We always bench test parts when we can. The lights worked, so it was time to put them on the car.
Next, we moved to the front bumper. We always test fit front bumpers before we send a car for paint, so we knew this one would fit well with just a little bit of shimming.
New rubber grommets go on before the bumper.
We also installed the finishing strips below the rocker panels and fender bottoms.
Many restorations ignore these or can’t make them fit. We always pre-fit them before paint.
Details like this make a difference.
