1963 Volkswagen Beetle
We sandblasted around the rear vent area so that the paint shop had a good surface to work with. We removed the rear window, removed the engine and sent the car to paint.
While the car was at the paint shop we reconditioned the engine tin, rebuilt the distributor and fuel pump, tested the generator and prepped everything for reinstallation. We also installed the new 12v voltage regulator in the proper location on the fan shroud.
Once the car returned from the paint shop we replaced the rear wiring harness that runs from the fuse block in the front of the car to the engine and tail lights (through the body above the left-side doors). We reinstalled the engine and prepped the car for final reassembly.
