MGA 1500 Coupe
This shows the general process we go through to make and fit a door skin. First we cut a blank using our master pattern. Then, to make forming the aluminium easier, we anneal in the areas where the major shaping will occur. Next, we shape the major curve and edges on our hammerform. Finally, we bend the top edge on our bead roller. With the skin finished, we use a hammer and dolly to attach it to the door frame (not shown). Finally, the door is fitted to the car for final detail work.
