1968 Porsche 911
The nose of the car was in fairly good shape with the exception of the lower left corner. We fabricated a repair panel and welded it in place. We plug-welded the suspension pan in place and then ground the welds flat.
We needed to replace the front halves of the tank side supports. Each repair panel fit well, but was not quite right. The right-hand panel, even though it was indicated to fit all years 65-80, was missing a section that we needed to fabricate. The left-hand panel fit fine along the fender, but the lower flange was incorreclty bent and needed to be repositioned about 1/2 lower than it originally was. In each case we made a hammerform and corrected the piece before welding.
