MGA 1600 MK II
We spot-welded the radiator duct panel into position. Since reproduction lower grille surround/valence skirt panel are not very accurate, we made our own. We started out by bending two flat strips of 20 gauge steel to 90 degrees on our brake, then using our kick shrinker and stretcher to curve the pieces to the right shape. Then we used our spot welder to attach them to each other, just like factory. We test fitted them, then spot welded them into place. We still need to fit the valance, drill mounting holes, and spot weld the cage nuts behind the mounting holes. The end result will look just like factory.
