1966 Fiat 500
This 1966 Fiat 500F arrived from mid-state with an oil pressure problem. After some initial diagnosis with the engine in we decided to check the oil pump, which necessitated removing the engine. Fortunately, as with most aircooled vehicles, removal of the engine is a fairly easy and straightforward.
The oil pump, while worn, was still functional. We dug deeper and have located some worn bearings which appear to be the culprit. We also discovered a blown head gasket and some worn cam lobes.
