Limited engine access in the Twin Cam meant that the inner fenders had to be modified and a removable panel installed so mechanics could get inside without removing the fenders completely. We took paper template patterns of some Twin Cam inner fenders and cut ours to match the shape. Because Twin Cam inner fenders do not have the reinforcement piece at the bottom we had to remove more metal and fabricate a replacement piece. This piece was TIG-welded into place. After the fender modifications were complete we lined up and drilled mounting holes for our louvered access panel.
