1980 VW Bus

This is a 1980 Brazilian VW Bus that has been heavily modified and customized. It started running poorly and then quit completely last month. After sitting at another shop in town it made its way here so we could get it back on the road.

The engine siezed completely and a teardown was necessary to find out why. One of the crank bearings shelled out and actually jammed in place on the crank, filling the case with shrapnel along the way. While we don't know exactly why this happened, the vital lower engine tins were missing from the engine, and overheating is a possibility.
