Swaybar Modification
These pictures show our procedures to modify an MGA 1500 front frame
extension to accept a swaybar. The final result duplicates an MGA
1600 front frame extension.
This shows the original shape of the MGA 1500 front frame extension.
Using a template, we cut the frame extension for the swaybar.
Then we heat and bend the proper shape to the top rail. Finally,
we TIG weld the seam back together. |
For more information and pricing, see
our Front Frame Extension Repair page.
After grinding and sandblasting, the modification cannot be detected;
the frame extension looks and fits exactly like an MGA 1600 extension.
We stock the proper mount and
bushing to install the swaybar. |
