Because heat can cause warp, even in thick panels like these suspension parts, we checked our fit with our jig after every set of welds. Once we were confident that nothing had moved we finished welding the piece in place and ground the welds flush. After a coat of paint we reassembled the suspension and verified that we did not change the suspension geometry or the alignment of the car.
